Multi County Chase Lands Longview Man in Jail

LINDALE – A Longview man is in custody after leading law officers on a multi-county chase on his motorcycle. Taken into custody early Sunday morning was Justin Bernard Rusk, 27. The chase began around 3:00 Sunday morning when state troopers tried to pull him over. Instead, he sped away. The chase started in Kaufman County and, with speeds reaching 100 miles an hour at times, went through Van Zandt and Smith Counties. He was finally stopped just before 4:30 when he surrendered to law officers at the intersection of Interstate Highway 20 and U.S. Highway 69.
