TxDOT signTYLER — Motorists should expect delays during their commutes this week as work on the Interstate Highway 20 construction projects continues. The contractor will be overlaying the roadway and repairing bridge joints which will impact multiple ramps within the project limits. According to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), several ramps will be closed during the day on this project which runs from just west of U.S. Highway 69 to Farm Road 14 in the EB lanes only.

The closures are planned as follows:
*Monday 8/4/14: Eastbound off and on ramps at Lavender Road will be closed for the day starting at 8:00am. PCMB, police, flaggers, and barricades will be utilized.
*Tuesday 8/5/14: Eastbound off and on ramps at U.S. 69 and Jim Hogg Road will all be closed for the day starting at 8:00am. The same devices will be in use.

This work will impact traffic. Message boards have been placed on the interstate notifying motorists of the impending closures. The ramps will return to normal traffic flow once the work is complete. According to TxDOT, if the job is not completed Tuesday it will extend into Wednesday morning.

Motorists are reminded to use caution when traveling through this and all work zones. Remember, traffic fines double when workers are present.
