TxDOT logoTYLER — Here’s a quick look at events and work planned in the Tyler District of the state highway department.

GREGG COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue several weeks of pavement-repair operations on U.S. Highway 80 between Loop 485 in Gladewater and the Upshur County Line, followed by similar work in U.S. Highway 271 between US 80 in Gladewater and the Upshur County Line. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic in two-lane areas.

SMITH COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform edge work on Farm Road 2908 east of Tyler between Farm Road 2767 and State Highway 31. A second crew is scheduled to perform ditch work in various locations on Toll 49 between Farm Road 756 and State Highway 110. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zones.

WOOD COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled begin resurfacing operations on U.S. Highway 80 west of Mineola. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zone.

RUSK COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews on Tuesday this week are scheduled to continue edge work on U.S. Highway 259 between Farm Road 1798 and U.S. Highway 84 in Mount Enterprise. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zone.

VAN ZANDT COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue resurfacing operations on State Highway 64 between U.S. Highway 80 in Wills Point and Interstate Highway 20. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

ANDERSON COUNTY – Beginning as early as Wednesday, Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews are scheduled to begin pavement-repair operations in various locations on SH 155 north of Palestine. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zones.

ATHENS – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs on State Highway 19 between North Loop 7 and Downtown Athens. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
