One Dead in Longview Wreck

LONGVIEW – A one vehicle accident in Longview has killed a Louisiana man. It happened around 1:45 Sunday morning in the 2700 block of McCann Road. Dead at the scene was Scorpio Atkins, 27, of Shreveport. Police reports indicate Atkins vehicle hit a guard rail, left the road and then hit a tree. Investigators believe a combination of speed and alcohol were factors in the wreck.
