Wood County Investigating Body as Homicide

WOOD COUNTY — Authorities in Wood County are investigating the case as a homicide after a body was found Thursday. KETK reports that around 5:40 p.m., Wood County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received a 911 report of a dead body located off CR 2388. Deputies were dispatched and arrived to discover the body of an unknown male. The condition of the body indicated that it had been at the location for several days. An autopsy has been ordered. The body has been sent to SWIFTS for autopsy and to assist in positive identification. Anyone with information in reference to missing persons or facts that may provide leads in the investigation is requested to contact the Wood County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit.
