Fake Student, 34, Released Following Guilty Plea

LONGVIEW – The 34-year-old woman who posed as a sophomore at a Longview school was released from jail Tuesday afternoon. KETK reports that according to judicial records, Charity Johnson entered a guilty plea on a failure to identify charge at 8:00 a.m. She was later sentenced to 85 days in jail with time served. She was then released after spending 29 days behind bars. County Court at Law #1 Judge Rebecca Simpson presided over the hearings. About a month ago, Johnson made national headlines when it was discovered she was an adult woman pretending to be a 15-year-old sophomore at New Life Christian School in Longview since October 2013.
