Suspect Sought in Fatal Shooting

ATHENS — Athens police are searching for the men they believe shot and killed another Sunday afternoon. The shooting happened around 1:00 in the 700 block of Robbins Road. According to KETK, when police arrived at the scene they found Cedrick Alvin Collins, 23, on the ground next to his car with a gunshot wound. Collins was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died. Police say witnesses reported seeing two men running from the scene. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Athens police right away.
