PITTSBURG — Big Earl’s Restaurant in Pittsburg is facing a unique backlash on social media. That after an LGBT couple was called a gay slur by a waitress and told not to return. One observer says, “I think the restaurant better learn to adapt, or they will probably have to close their doors soon if the online initiative actually works out.” Some in the Dallas gay community are actually planning a road trip there. Another person says, “I think it’s a fantastic idea, and I’ll be there.” And Big Earl says bring it on. Kristina Cheney is his daughter and the waitress who actually made the homophobic remark. She says, “We are aware that they are intending to come out here. We’re ready for ’em, so we’ve informed the sheriff’s department.”
