Arson Believed to be Cause of Longview Fires

LONGVIEW — The Longview Fire Department is investigating two suspected arson from Friday night, according to Fire Marshal Johnny Zackary. Firefighters responded to a blaze about 8 p.m. Friday at a home on 15th Street. The second fire came about an hour-and-a-half later at a residence on Gay Street. Both single-family homes were unoccupied at the time of the fires, and no one was injured. There was “significant damage” to the homes once firefighters arrived, Zackary said.
