Woman Faces DWI, Drug Charges

KILGORE — An Overton woman is behind bars after a routine traffic stop in Kilgore revealed drugs, according to authorities. KETK reports Kilgore Police Officer Josh Sims stopped a vehicle traveling on the Duvall Parkway and the driver was identified as April Marie Cameron, 35. After an initial investigation by Officer Sims, Cameron was allegedly found to be intoxicated and was arrested for DWI. During a search of her person, Cameron was reportedly found to be in possession of 27.8 grams of crack cocaine and a small amount of marijuana. She was additionally charged with delivery of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
