Candidate Forum Tonight in Tyler

TYLER — The May 10 municipal elections are rapidly approaching, and Tylerites will have a chance to meet the candidates this evening. The League of Women Voters of Tyler/Smith County (LWV-TSC) will be holding a candidate forum at 7:00 tonight in the Tyler Public Library’s Taylor Auditorium. Candidates for mayor, city council and the Tyler ISD Board of Trustees will be on hand to offer comments and answer questions.

Candidates will take questions from a panel: Mary Claire Rowe, LWV-TSC President; Roy Maynard, Tyler Morning Telegraph; and Kevin Dilley, TJC. The moderator for the event will be Janice Caldwell, Lindale High School debate coach. Questions will also be taken from the audience. The forum is free and open to the public.
