Sheriff Smith to Hold Town Hall Meeting in Whitehouse

WHITEHOUSE – Smith County Sheriff Larry Smith will hold a town hall meeting tonight from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the TASCA Activity Center in Whitehouse, located at 10495 County Road 2167. The town hall meeting is his first of 2014. During 2013, Sheriff Smith’s first year in office, he held town halls in Lindale, Starville, Tyler, and Whitehouse.

“When I ran for Sheriff of Smith County, I promised transparency and to be open to hear what residents have to say. The town halls provide an opportunity for me to present positive changes that have taken place in the Sheriff’s Office, and for residents to express concerns or ask questions about what’s going on where they live in Smith County,” said Sheriff Smith. Smith said additional town halls are scheduled for May 6 at Lindale High School, May 13 at Chapel Hill High School, and May 22 at the New Harmony Community Center.
