Longview Police Identify Pedestrian Hit by Truck, Seriously Hurt

LONGVIEW — Officials Thursday named the man seriously hurt when hit by a truck Wednesday in Longview. According to police, Lowell Harmer, 53, of Longview, remains hospitalized after he was hit while crossing West Marshall Avenue. KETK reports the turning lane from Spur 63 onto Marshall Avenue was closed for a short time as police investigated the accident. Harmer was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. No charges were filed against the driver of the truck as police say Harmer was at fault.
