Gladewater Man Charged with Possession

GREGG COUNTY — A Gladewater man was arrested after authorities found more that 212 pounds of marijuana, valued at nearly $130,000. Patrick Charles Christian, 37, was arrested Sunday by the Gregg County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of possession of marijuana. Christian posted a bond of $10,000 Sunday. It started around 8:00 Saturday night when Gregg County Deputies responded to 166 Spokane Street in Gladewater for a suspicious person call. Deputies noticed the odor of marijuana and asked for consent to search the residence. The resident refused and a warrant was obtained. Also found on the property were digital scales, a grinder and five firearms.
