Five Arrested in Cherokee County Drug Raid

CHEROKEE COUNTY — Five people accused of possession were arrested Tuesday following a raid in Cherokee County. According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, they, along with the FBI, Jacksonville Police Department, Rusk Police Department, and Precinct 4 Constable Jamie Beene, served a warrant at a home in the Pierce’s Chapel community. KETK reports all five people were found inside the house when authorities arrived.
The suspects were identified as:
Joshua Heard, 22
Heath Willis, 19
Rachelle Still, 37
Ariel Coslett-Starkey, 20
Latajia Crockett, 17
Officials say meth and other drug paraphernalia were seized at the home. All five suspects were arrested and charged with possession of substance in penalty group 1, a third-degree felony. All were arraigned by Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Brenda Dominy. Bond was set at $15,000 each. All five remain in the Cherokee County Jail at this time. Nine other people were charged with drug possession and gun possession within Cherokee County the same day.
