Woman Hit by SUV Dies

PALESTINE — A woman has been struck and killed in an Anderson County accident. It happened shortly after 12:30 Monday afternoon about a half a mile from Palestine. Killed was Cheri Lynn Hope, 46, of Palestine. The Department of Public safety says she was crouching over a dog that had been hit when she was hit by a southbound SUV. It was driven by Geraldine Demar, 61, of Palestine. The accident remains under investigation.
