TxDOT Project Updates

TYLER — Here’s a quick look at other work planned in Smith County by the Tyler District of the Texas Department of Transportation.
SMITH COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs on Northeast Loop 323 in Tyler, between the Loop 323 Extension and Commerce Street. A second crew is scheduled to continue edge work on Farm Road 15 between Troup and the Rusk County Line. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zone.
VAN ZANDT COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform fog seal operations on Farm Road 773 between Interstate Highway 20 and State Highway 64, and on Farm Road 47 between Farm Road 1651 and State Highway 198. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic
CHEROKEE COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to make base and pavement repairs in various locations on State Highway 204 between Loop 456 in Jacksonville and the Rusk County Line, and on SE Loop 456 in Jacksonville between U.S. Highway 69 south and State Highway 204. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
ANDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs on U.S. Highway 287 between State Highway 294 in Elkhart and the Houston County Line. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
WOOD COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform resurfacing operations on Farm Road 1643 northeast of Quitman. A second crew is scheduled to make edge repairs on Farm Road 2659 east of Hawkins. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
RUSK COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue several weeks of base and pavement repairs on Farm Road 95 between State Highway 315 and U.S. Highway 84 east of Mount Enterprise. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress and flaggers will control traffic.
HENDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform edge work on Farm Road 1803 between State Highway 31 east of Murchison and Farm Road 317. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
