Six Arrested for Allegedly Providing Alcohol to Minors

MARSHALL — Six East Texans are arrested after being charged with providing alcohol to minors. According to KETK, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding a large party and loud music on Saturday, January 18, at an address on Rupe Huffman Road in western Harrison County. Deputies responded around 3:00 a.m. and found close to 30 cars parked on roadways and in the yard area of the residence. Deputies located the person who leases the property and detained approximately 43 individuals at the home. It was determined that 37 of the 43 people at the party were not of the legal drinking age, according to authorities.
The alleged underage drinkers were issued citations for minor in possession of alcoholic beverage; 12 of the 37 were issued citations for minor in consumption of an alcoholic beverage. The parents of the minors were notified, and the youths were released to their parents. Six others were charged with allegedly purchasing and furnishing alcohol to minors. The six adults were transported to Harrison County and placed in jail for that offense. Bonds of $1500 were placed on each alleged provider, and they have been released.
