Centene Cuts Ribbon on New Facility

TYLER — Centene Corporation, a St. Louis-based medical insurance group, cut the ribbon Tuesday on its new Tyler claims center. Centene has had a Tyler presence for a little over 18 months. But Tom Mullins (pictured) of the Tyler Economic Development Council says the new facility allows Centene to ramp up to 325 employees, with the capacity to double its space and add more workers. Mullins says, “It’s a great project for Tyler, and it’s the anchor project for the new technology park on Earl Campbell Parkway and the Southwest Loop.” The facility includes a day care center. It’s a $15 million investment serving about 15 states.
