vlcsnap_2013_12_15_23h24m20s50BULLARD — A crowd gathered at Bullard High School Sunday evening for a candlelight vigil in honor of a local mother and daughter killed in a Northern Cherokee County crash. KETK reports hundreds of family members, friends, teachers, and students huddled together Sunday to remember their good friends. The vigil started and ended in prayer and gave friends and loved ones a chance to say goodbye.

The one-vehicle accident occurred shortly before 4:15 Friday afternoon on U.S. Highway 69 near Farm Road 2493, just south of Bullard. Dead at the scene was Hollie Warren, 39. Her daughter Haley Elizabeth Lombardo, 15, was a passenger. Haley died at 1:20 Saturday morning at East Texas Medical Center. Another passenger in the car, John Driggers, 15, of Flint, was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released. The Department of Public Safety reports the accident occurred when the woman’s car hydroplaned, left the road and hit a tree.
