More Public Hearings Set on TRZ

TYLER — Smith County commissioners Tuesday set two public hearings on the proposed Toll 49 Transportation Reinvestment Zone (TRZ). Officials hope the TRZ will speed up the completion date of Toll 49′s Section 4 by as much as eight years. KETK reports the meetings will be held December 9 at Gander Mountain at 6:00pm and on December 10 at the downtown Hub Center. The TRZ calls for capturing 50% of property tax revenue on future growth along a designated Toll 49 corridor.
