Arrest Affidavit Reveals More on Marshall Murder Case

MARSHALL — A Marshall man charged with killing his wife left her blood-covered body in the bathroom of a hotel room after stabbing and cutting her multiple times, according to an arrest affidavit filed in the City of Marshall Municipal Court. That’s the report from KETK and the Longview News-Journal. The incident happened at the Baymont Inn and Suites in the 5300 block of East End Boulevard in Marshall. Officers responding to a disturbance call Sunday morning arrived to find two children in the lobby who said “they think their dad killed their mom,” the document indicated.

Brad Allen Dunn, 35, was arrested Sunday afternoon in Cass County. On Monday, he was charged with murder in connection with the death of Kari Rene Dunn, 31. Dunn, who had been held under $5.1 million bond in the Cass County Jail, was transferred Tuesday afternoon to the Harrison County Jail, said Lt. Jay Webb of the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office. The case led to an Amber Alert after Dunn allegedly kidnapped his four-year-old daughter. The girl was found safe when her father was taken into custody Sunday south of Linden. The girl was turned over Sunday evening to family members.
