Longview Police Warn of Mobile Banking Scam

LONGVIEW — Longview police are warning of a scam that is hitting the area, mostly targeting those with Longview-based cell phone numbers. KETK reports a text message is being sent around saying there is a problem with a local bank’s credit cards and asking for information verification through a link sent in a text. The message then asks the cell phone owner for personal account information. The message reads:

If you receive this message, delete the text and do not provide your information to the scam artists.
