Smoke Reported at Tyler Apartments

TYLER — For the second time this week, Tyler firemen have been called to a fire at the Kensington Place Apartments, 4400 Plauxy Drive. Just before 11:00 yesterday morning, smoke was seen in one of the apartments, but there was no fire damage. Fire investigators have determined that the smoke originated from a problem associated with the apartment’s heating unit. No injuries were reported.

Monday afternoon, shortly after 1:15, firemen were called to the apartments when smoke was seen coming from one of the buildings. Investigators believe Monday’s fire started in the wall space between two downstairs apartments. No injuries were reported in Monday’s fire. However, a small pet was resuscitated by firefighters utilizing specialized air masks carried on the fire department’s emergency vehicles.
