Four Arrested in ATV Thefts

NACOGDOCHES — Nacogdoches Police have arrested four in connection with the Wednesday morning theft of four ATVs from T-Rex-S Outdoor Store on North Street. KETK reports Antonio Luis Gallegos, 27; Michael Gary Heflin, 20; Melissa Gallegos, 24; and Euardo Mejorado, 31, were arrested Thursday afternoon. All four are charged with felony engaging in organized criminal activity. They were placed in the Nacogdoches County Jail pending arraignment. Detectives continue to pursue leads in an effort to recover the stolen ATV’s.

Shortly before 9:00 Wednesday morning, officers were called to T-Rex-S Outdoor Store in reference to a theft. Overnight, the four side-by-side ATVs were stolen from the dealership. The thieves forced open a fenced area and drove the vehicles away. Officers were able to track the vehicles through an area behind the store and along the Union Pacific railroad tracks to a location near the Old Tyler Road, where the ATVs were apparently loaded onto another vehicle.

The stolen ATVs are three 2014 Polaris Razors and one 2013 Polaris Razor. Detectives say they pursued active leads in this case all day and into the evening Wednesday. Along with trying to locate the stolen items, NPD Detectives are still investigating the case in an effort to possibly identify more suspects. Police say further information will be released as arrests are made or if and when more developments occur.
