Football Player Injured in Tyler Wreck

TYLER — A Texas College football player remains in serious condition following a Tyler traffic accident. Kourtlandt Akins was injured when his car hit a curb and then a telephone pole and flipped over. The car then hit a second pole, ejecting Akins from the vehicle. He is in the intensive care unit at Tyler’s Mother Francis Hospital. KETK reports the accident happened shortly after 2:45 Sunday morning in the 2900 block of South Broadway.
