Businesses Destroyed in Canton Fire

CANTON — Around two dozen buildings have been destroyed at “The Mountain” shopping and entertainment area just off highway 64 in Canton. The fire was reported around 3:45 Saturday morning. Everyone on the property when the fire started was able to escape without injuries. Some homes near the area were evacuated for a while. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
