Attempted Robbery of a Tyler Business

TYLER — Tyler police are looking for the man who attempted to rob the CVS Pharmacy at 1702 South Broadway around 11:15 Thursday night. A black male, wearing a Halloween type skull mask, and armed with a handgun entered the store and demanded money. During the course of the robbery, the cashier was able to call for help over the intercom. This scared the suspect who fled the building. As he left the store he ran into the automatic doors, dropping a black handgun. He picked it up and got into a white or tan colored sedan and drove away.

Prior to the robbery, witnesses observed the suspect in the parking lot not wearing the mask and were able to describe him. He is a black male, approximately 5’8″-5’10,” thin build, and was wearing baggy jeans, a brown jacket, and a skull mask. No one was harmed during the robbery. The suspect fled before taking any money.
