One-Year-Old’s Death Investigated

CHAPEL HILL – The death of a one year old Smith County child remains under investigation. It happened on County Road 290 in the Chapel Hill community. According to authorities, around 6:45 Saturday evening, EMS and a Smith County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a 911 call reporting that a child had been injured after a family member allegedly backed over the youngster with a vehicle in the driveway. The child was transported to a Dallas hospital and later died there.
