Numerous Guns Stolen from Cherokee County House

RUSK — Cherokee County authorities are asking for any information about a burglary that happened in early September. Sometime during the week of September 2nd, a burglar reportedly broke into a house on Farm Road 1248, just south of Rusk, and stole several guns and tools. The homeowner was in the process of moving and had last been at his house on September 2nd. He returned to the house on September 8th to retrieve the last of his personal items. However, upon his arrival, he discovered that many items had been stolen. There did not appear to be any forced entry into the house. It’s believed that the burglars entered through an unlocked window. Numerous guns, an air compressor and multiple tools were reported stolen.
