TxDOT Project Updates

TYLER — Here’s a quick look at other work planned in the Tyler District of the Texas Department of Transportation.
QUITMAN – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews were back in Quitman Monday and are scheduled to return Tuesday to make remedial repairs to East Goode Street between the courthouse and the SH 154/SH 37 split. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible to avoid delays.
CHEROKEE COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to begin approximately two weeks of resurfacing operations on State Highway 204 between Jacksonville and Ponta. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
VAN ZANDT COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform resurfacing operations on SH 198 between State Highway 243 in Canton and Farm Road 3227. Elsewhere in Van Zandt County, TxDOT maintenance crews on Wednesday are scheduled to begin approximately two weeks of pavement-repair and resurfacing work on U.S. Highway 80 between Fruitvale and Grand Saline. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zones.
RUSK COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement repairs on Farm Road 1798 southwest of Henderson between Farm Road 839 in McKnight and Farm Road 225 in Laneville, and on Farm Road 839 between Farm Road 1798 and U.S. Highway 79. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
ANDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to make base and pavement repairs in various locations on U.S. Highway 287 between Elkhart and the Houston County Line, and on Farm Road 319 between State Highway 294 west of Elkhart and the end of state maintenance in Redtown. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
SMITH COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform resurfacing operations on Farm Road 15 between Troup and Wright City. A second crew is scheduled to resume base and pavement repairs on State Highway 155 in Winona. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
GREGG COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue shoulder work on the U.S. Highway 259-Kilgore Bypass between the south end and Farm Road 349. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
HENDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue pavement repair and resurfacing operations on Farm Road 1615 between State Highway 19 south of Athens, and the end of state maintenance. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
