Woman Indicted for DWI with Child Passenger; Also Faces Second Charge

LONGVIEW — A Gregg County grand jury indicted a Longview woman last Thursday for allegedly driving a vehicle while intoxicated with a child under the age of 15. KETK reports Jabina Janie Martinez, 34, was arrested by Gregg County troopers on June 23 and charged with multiple offenses: possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, open container, and DWI with a child under the age of 15. She was also charged with a number of other offenses by the Longview Police Department.

After serving time in the county jail for 11 days, Martinez was released on July 4. But on August 13, the suspect was again taken into custody by the Gregg County Department of Public Safety for DWI with a child under the age of 15. She was also charged with two counts of possession of marijuana. She is currently in the Gregg County Jail with bonds totaling $6,250. Martinez has yet to be indicted for her second DWI charge.
