Smith County Fire Contained

TYLER — Smith County fires that burned over 400 acres over the weekend have finally been contained. What started as 8 small grass fires grew to a blaze that destroyed a mobile home, an empty home and a barn, multiple cars and out buildings. No injuries were reported. While the cause of the fire is thought to be from a spark from a shredding tire, the cause remains under investigation.
