TxDOT Project Updates

TYLER — Here’s a quick look at other work planned in the Tyler District of the Texas Department of Transportation.
VAN ZANDT COUNTY–Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews on Monday are scheduled to resurface Farm Road 3227 between Farm Road 47 and State Highway 198 south of Canton, then move to perform the same work at the intersection of State Highway 19 and the North Interstate Highway 20 Service Road. The westbound IH 20 ramps at SH 19 will be closed Tuesday thru Thursday during working hours while the work is in progress.
Elsewhere in Van Zandt County, TxDOT maintenance crews are scheduled to make base and pavement repairs on Farm Road 1805 north of Van. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
Looking ahead to the week of September 16, TxDOT maintenance crews are tentatively scheduled to begin pavement-repair operations on U.S. Highway 80 in Grand Saline between the western city limits and Waldrip Street.
HENDERSON–Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews on Monday are scheduled to conclude work to remove the old railroad tracks on State Highway 64 west of the Star between Marshall Street and North Mill Drive. Crews removed the tracks in the southern part of the intersection last Thursday. The work is being done in advance of a pair of projects to realign and improve the intersection, the first of which is scheduled to start Monday with crews clearing the right of way on the south side of SH 64. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and motorists are strongly encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible to avoid delays.
CHEROKEE COUNTY–Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to begin resurfacing operations on Farm Road 2137 between Farm Road 344 south of Bullard, and Farm Road 855 west of Mount Selman. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
ANDERSON COUNTY–Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to make base and pavement repairs in various locations on U.S. Highway 287 between Elkhart and the Houston County Line, and on Farm Road 319 between State Highway 294 west of Elkhart and the end of state maintenance in Redtown. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
SMITH COUNTY–Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue edge work on Farm Road 2710, between Farm Road 16 east of Lindale, and Farm Road 14.
Elsewhere, TxDOT maintenance crews are scheduled to resurface Farm Road 2215 between State Highway 155 just south of Coffee City, and the end of state maintenance. Daytime lane closures will be in effect in each location while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
GREGG COUNTY–Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue shoulder work on the U.S. Highway 259-Kilgore Bypass between the south end and Farm Road 349. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
HENDERSON COUNTY–Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue pavement repair and resurfacing operations on Farm Road 1615 between State Highway 19 south of Athens, and the end of state maintenance. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
