LONGVIEW — A train derailment closed a portion of a Longview street. The Union Pacific train derailed in the area of Gum Springs and East Cotton. No injuries were reported when the two railcars derailed around 12:30 Sunday morning. Longview Fire Marshal Johnny Zackary says they were told the cars came off the track during a switching operation. Gum Springs Road was closed from Eastman to Cotton, but it has since been re-opened. Longview Police and Fire departments were on hand for traffic control.
