Longview Man Killed in Early Morning Wreck

HARRISON COUNTY — A Longview man died in a single car wreck in Harrison County early Saturday morning, according to Trooper Brittany Holloway with the Texas Department of Public Safety. According to the Longview News-Journal, Jose Vega, 22, was driving a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer at about 3:30 a.m. along Gum Springs Road when he entered into a curve and the car flipped, Holloway said. There were no passengers or other vehicles involved. Vega was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle at the time of the crash. The wreck is under investigation.
