Prison Term For Sexual Assault of a Child

LONGVIEW — A Longview man has drawn a hefty prison sentence after pleading guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child. Sentenced in the 24th State District Court Tuesday to 25 years in prison was Michael Joe Presson, 37. The Longview News-Journal reports Presson was arrested last September and charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child, possession and promotion of child pornography and theft. He only pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child under the age of six. He was granted time served on the theft charge.
