TxDOT Project Updates

TxDOT logoTYLER — Here’s a quick look at other work planned in the Tyler District of the Texas Department of Transportation.

WINONA – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement-repair work on State Highway 155 in and around Winona. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

QUITMAN – On Wednesday, construction crews are scheduled to begin placing bridge beams on the new State Highway 154 bridge west of Quitman. This work will cause traffic to be reduced to one lane, and traffic will be stopped completely while the beams are moved into place by crane. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible, and to expect lengthy delays in the project area.

GREGG COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue shoulder work on the U.S. Highway 259-Kilgore Bypass between the south end and Farm Road 349. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

VAN ZANDT COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform resurfacing operations on State Highway 19, between Interstate Highway 20 north of Canton, and U.S. Highway 80. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

RUSK COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue base and pavement-repair operations on northbound U.S. Highway 259 between North Loop 571 and Farm Road 850. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zone.

CHEROKEE COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue edge work in various locations on Farm Road 2137 between Farm Road 344 south of Bullard, and Farm Road 855 west of Mount Selman. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

ANDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to perform anti-erosion work in various locations on U.S. Highway 287 between the Freestone County Line and Farm Road 2706. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.

HENDERSON COUNTY – Texas Department of Transportation maintenance crews this week are scheduled to continue pavement repair and resurfacing operations on Farm Road 1615 between State Highway 19 south of Athens, and the end of state maintenance. Daytime lane closures will be in effect while the work is in progress, and flaggers will control traffic.
