Large Forest Fire in Nacogdoches County

NACOGDOCHES — Dozens of firemen have battled a large forest fire in Nacogdoches County. The weekend fire by Sunday afternoon, spread to 86 acres. The Texas Forest Service Tells KETK the fire started around Farm Road 226 and County Road 422 has been contained. It is believed the fire started from lightning from strong thunderstorms Saturday afternoon. No buildings were in danger and no injuries were reported.
