Several Upshur County Homes Hit by Fire

ORE CITY — Fire has hit three homes in Ore City. The first of the Upshur County fires was reported around 3:00 Friday afternoon on Janis Street in the Sandy Shore addition. The fire is said to have started from a controlled burn that spread to a home. That fire spread to a second home and then spread to the third house. The first two houses have been destroyed. No injuries have been reported.
