Cancer Study Being Conducted

TYLER — The Smith County Chapter of the American Cancer Society is participating in a nationwide study called CPS-3. KETK reports the goal is to better understand the factors that cause or prevent cancer and, ultimately, help eliminate cancer for future generations. For 20 years, researchers will keep a close eye on the lifestyles of “healthy” people. On Tuesday, folks gathered to increase awareness at the Chamber of Commerce in Tyler. The meeting was designed to let people know about the program and share with people on how they can become involved.
