Three Arrested after Over $22,000 Worth of Marijuana Seized

NACOGDOCHES — Three men are in custody in Nacogdoches and are charged with felony possession of marijuana. Willie Whiteside of Indianapolis, Indiana, was operating a 2003 Lincoln Navigator in the 5000 block of Northwest Loop 224 when he was stopped by a Nacogdoches Police K-9 officer for a traffic violation, according to police. Officers established probable cause to search the vehicle, and they say 17.5 lbs. of marijuana was located in the rear of the vehicle.

The driver and two passengers, Frederick Dillard and Charles Davis, all of Indianapolis, were arrested and charged with possession of a marijuana, a third degree felony. Bond had not been set at last report. The street value of the drugs seized Friday morning is estimated to be in excess of $22,000.
