Longview Street Closures

LONGVIEW — Longview city officials are alerting the public to a couple of street closures. Ward Drive between West Marshall Avenue and Memphis Street was closed down at 8:00 Monday morning and will remain closed in that location until 6:00 Tuesday evening. A detour is sending traffic to Enterprise Street from W. Marshall and Memphis. During the weekend, crews closed down Enterprise Street between West Marshall and Memphis. The Ward/Enterprise project is for railroad crossing work and additional work.
Elsewhere, the eastbound right lane of West Loop 281 will be closed between Cherokee Street and P.T. Parkway Tuesday through Friday. The closure will begin during the day at 8 a.m. and will re-open by 6 p.m. each night. The closure is for the construction of the Entrance Drive for the New Pine Tree Stadium.
The Ward/Enterprise project is being performed by Union Pacific Railroad. The RoadSafe Traffic Control Technician in charge of the closure is Joe Prado, 405-200-4867. The Loop 281 project is being performed by Miller Sierra, and the contact name is Nate, 817-229-0762.
