Smith County Man Guilty of Drug Trafficking Charges

TYLER — A 48-year-old Whitehouse, Texas man has pleaded guilty to federal drug trafficking violations. Jeffrey Blaine pleaded guilty yesterday to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine when he appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge John D. Love. Blaine faces a minimum of 10 years and up to Life in federal prison at sentencing. A sentencing date has not been set. Federal prosecutors say up until July 20 of last year, Blaine agreed with others to acquire and distribute more than 50 grams of pure methamphetamine in east Texas.
