Downtown Park and Ride Begins Thursday

TYLER — The Fair Plaza Garage construction schedule in downtown Tyler calls for fencing to be erected around the project site in early to mid-August. To address the need for temporary parking, a lot across from City Hall has been designated and a free shuttle service will be provided. Beginning Thursday the shuttle service will run between the parking lot across from City Hall on North Bonner Avenue and West Ferguson Street through the downtown area. City officials say the round trip route should take less than 10 minutes, depending on traffic and ridership. This service will initially run 12 hours a day, Monday through Friday (except holidays), from 6:00am to 6:00pm. This will be a pilot program, with hours of operation subject to change depending on the level of ridership.
