zacorian_white_nac_sheriffNACOGDOCHES — A man and two juveniles have been arrested in connection to recent fuel thefts from several East Texas school districts. Authorities with the Nacogdoches Sheriffs Department tell KETK that diesel and gas had been taken from the Nacogdoches, Martinsville, Garrison, Chireno, Woden, and Alto ISDs, as well as a Cherokee County work barn. Officials believe that there may have been additional thefts that have not yet been discovered.

Investigators were able to obtain a vehicle description and a trailer from surveillance video. Authorities say the same vehicle had been used in different locations. The thieves would pump the fuel into barrels and then sell it on the streets at a much lower cost. After investigating, authorities sent the information to patrol officers, and a Nacogdoches Police officer eventually conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that matched the description. According to officials, the vehicle turned out to be the same one used in the fuel thefts. Zacorian Deandre White (pictured), 20, and two juveniles were arrested on scene on unrelated charges. However, authorities say that during the arrest, they confessed to the fuel thefts.
