Damaged SWAT Vehicle Undergoing Repairs

LONGVIEW — A standoff in May left its mark on one of Longview’s SWAT vehicles. Now it’s being repaired. KETK and the Longview News-Journal report the Lenco Bearcat took about 30 rounds during the May 9th standoff with a former nurse on Eden Street. The vehicle was used to help evacuate neighbors from the area. The glass on the windshield was also weakened substantially after being hit several times. The vehicle will be out of commission until all of the repairs have been made.
