LONGVIEW — The Executive Director for Development at LeTourneau University is Eric McCrory. His promotion to the post has been announced by school president Dr. Dale A. Lunsford. McCrory has served LETU this past year as Special Assistant to the President, working in a development role in fundraising for the university’s strategic initiatives.
“LeTourneau University is fortunate to have Eric’s leadership,” said President Lunsford. “Giving to the university has never been greater, and we continue to see progress in our comprehensive campaign for the university. Growing financial aid for our students is a strategic priority, and Eric is a compelling champion for increasing the number of funded scholarships we can award.”
A Dallas native, McCrory earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management from the University of North Texas. Immediately out of college, he worked for Campus Crusade for Christ as campus ministry staff, first at University of Oklahoma and then at Texas Tech University. The opportunity to serve as Director of Youth Ministries at First United Methodist Church in Longview brought him to his wife’s hometown in East Texas in 1999. He worked for AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals for 12 years, rising from sales representative, to sales trainer and to the position of District Sales Manager.
