Gregg County Man Guilty of Methamphetamine Violations
Posted/updated on: July 18, 2013 at 12:12 pmTYLER – A 46-year-old Longview man has pleaded guilty to a federal charge of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. James Alton Russ entered his plea in Tyler Wednesday before U.S. Magistrate Judge John D. Love. According to information presented in court, from an unknown date through February 2012, Russ was in possession of up to 200 grams of methamphetamine. A federal grand jury returned an indictment on November 7, 2012, charging Russ with drug trafficking violations. Russ faces up to 20 years in federal prison at sentencing. A sentencing date has not been set.
