daniel_mclemoreQUITMAN — The suspect in a Wood County manhunt is due to be transferred from a local hospital to the Wood County Jail around the end of this month. KETK reports Daniel McLemore was taken into custody Tuesday after an all-night search by several agencies. The search took place as a result of McLemore firing shots at a Wood County Deputy and a DPS Trooper as they responded to a disturbance call at the McLemore residence, according to authorities. Officials say McLemore escaped into a wooded area behind the property after the shots were fired.

McLemore was located Tuesday afternoon and was wounded when he resisted arrest, according to law enforcement personnel. He was airlifted to a hospital for treatment and is expected to make a full recovery. After approximately two weeks of treatment, under guard, McLemore will be transferred to the Wood County Jail where he will await trial on Attempted Capital Murder charges. The bond on this charge has been set at $500,000.
